- Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Oregon State University. As well as a Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University.
- Dan has counseled at the high school and college levels.
- He is currently an adjunct professor of psychology at Central Oregon Community College.
- Dan also continues in the supreme privilege of a hospice volunteer.
